Speaking in Chuka, Ruku said the Kenya Kwanza administration has put in place measures to ensure no Kenyan succumbs to hunger amid the ongoing drought.
He noted that counties including Mandera, Turkana, Wajir, Tana River and Taita Taveta are among the hardest hit, with families and livestock facing severe food and water shortages.
“The government has secured sufficient food reserves to support all Kenyans affected by the drought, as well as their livestock,” Ruku said.
The CS added that National Government Administration Officers, working with local leaders, will oversee the distribution to ensure transparency and efficiency.
