Chuka University Law Students Engage Judiciary at National Book Fair

Students from Chuka University School of Law today participated in the Judges’ Book Launch and Book Fair organised by the Kenya Judiciary Academy at the Kenya National Library Service.

The delegation included Yegon Meshack, Nyarusa Edgar, Rachel Praise, Cornelius Gateri, Winslet Flynn, Winnie, Simon and Claudia Nasieku, who joined legal scholars, judicial officers and students from various institutions in discussions centred on law, leadership and the administration of justice.

The event offered the students an opportunity to engage directly with members of the Judiciary through interactive sessions that explored contemporary legal issues and the evolving role of courts in promoting justice and constitutionalism.

One of the highlights of the event was an interaction with Supreme Court Judge Isaac Lenaola, who commended the Chuka University students for their enthusiasm, professionalism and active participation during the sessions.

Justice Lenaola also conveyed his greetings to the university administration and the School of Law through Dean Prof. Nyachoti Otiso, while expressing his intention to visit the institution in the near future.

The students described the experience as insightful and inspirational, noting that the engagement provided practical exposure to the legal profession and strengthened their academic and professional aspirations within the justice sector.
