Senge Sussy, professionally known as SueSenge – The Girl With The Golden Voice, is a distinguished Chuka University Radio alumna who has risen to prominence across multiple media platforms. Currently serving as Head of UrbanTok and UrbanTv, while also working with Pikabox and Zafarani Comms and Marketing, she has established herself as a versatile media professional. Her achievements include winning Best Radio Presenter of the Year 2023/2024 at the Jamhuri Awards and Best Radio Show of the Year 2023/2024 at the Eta Awards for her breakfast show at Radio RFM Germany (Kenyan Chapter). Beyond broadcasting, she serves as Resident Emcee and Moderator for the Flower Logistics Africa Conference and Perishable Logistics Africa Conference, demonstrating her range as a communications expert.
Chuka University Radio Experience
SueSenge’s 3.5 years at Chuka University Radio provided the experimental ground where her award-winning career was forged. As Head of the English Department, Presenter, Producer, Editor, News Anchor, and Show Host, she immersed herself in diverse roles including sports and business coverage—areas outside her initial interests. “The foundations of my career are anchored on all the trials and errors I was allowed to do while at CUR,” she reflects. “I was active across all departments including sports and business which were not really my points of interest then but looking back in hindsight, all that was setting me up for greater good.” This comprehensive experience proved prophetic—she now hosts a business show and serves as a basketball commentator at Sterling Sports Inc. With six years of industry experience across digital media, marketing, and entrepreneurship, SueSenge embodies the principle that exploration and willingness to learn across disciplines creates unexpected career opportunities. “CUR allowed me to mess up there, so that I don’t mess up my career,” she affirms, crediting the station’s safe experimental environment for her professional success.
