The Member of Parliament for Chuka Igambang’ombe, Hon. Patrick Munene, led the launch of the Bulk Water Supply Project for Kathwana Town, which was officially presided over by the Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation and Irrigation, Eng. Erick Muga. “This project is a major milestone in our efforts to ensure reliable and adequate water supply for the residents of Kathwana and surrounding areas,” Eng. Muga said.
The project is expected to boost market activities, strengthen small and medium enterprises, and attract investors to the region. “Improved water availability will have a significant impact on the livelihoods of our people, and we are committed to supporting this initiative,” Hon. Patrick Munene said.
Residents have welcomed the project, describing it as a major step toward sustainable development and improved livelihoods. “This is a historic day for us, and we appreciate the Government’s response to our long-standing concerns,” a resident said.
The event was attended by government officials, including the Deputy County Commissioner of Igambang’ombe Sub-County, religious leaders, chiefs, community members, and political leaders such as Hon. Susan Ngugi Mwindu, Hon. Joseph Njeru, and Hon. Silvester Mutuiri.
