A total of 304 needy students from Chuka Igamba Ng’ombe Constituency have received financial support through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) bursary programme, in a boost aimed at easing the cost of education.
Each beneficiary was awarded KSh 10,000 to help cater for tuition fees and other academic-related expenses, targeting learners facing financial hardship.
The bursaries were formally received by Chuka University management led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Henry Mutembei, who welcomed the initiative, noting that it will go a long way in supporting students to remain in school and concentrate on their studies.
Beneficiaries described the support as timely, saying it will ease the financial burden on their families and help ensure continuity in their education.
